IECEE Saudi Recognition Certificate is a Saudi conformity certificate required for electrotechnical equipment products intended for sale in the Saudi market. It is set and managed by the Saudi Standardization, Metrology, and Quality Organization (SASO).

The implementation of the SASO IECEE started in 2018 with a certain scope of electrotechnical products, and ever since SASO has kept widening the scope by adding new products.

 

SASO IECEE registration

Suppliers are required to register on jeem1 platform to apply for obtaining the IECEE, they are required to provide all the required documents and certificates so that the request can be reviewed by the authority and the IECEE issued for the product to be valid for one year.

The Saudi Standards and the Saudi Customs Authority claimed all suppliers of products within the IECEE scope to commit to the requirements and the safety and efficiency standards. 

The CB Test Report and CB certificate are required to obtain the IECEE certificate in addition to other documental requirements which differ from one product to another.

 

What is the CB Scheme?

The CB Scheme is an international system for CB test reports and certificates -required for the IECEE- exchange, and recognition among the certification organizations and accredited laboratories all over the world.

The CB Scheme allows the manufacturers an easy and unified process to obtain the required national and international safety certificates for their electrotechnical products.

The CB Test Report and Certificate issued by an accredited laboratory is proof of the product compliance with the CB scheme.

 

What is the IEC CB?

The IEC CB is a comprehensive international scheme for issuing CB certificates and reports based on the international IEC standards. 

The IEC establishes the rules and standards -set by experts from all the practicing countries- of the testing and certificates issuance process and bases.

The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is the organization responsible for setting and publishing the international standards for all electrical, electronic industries.
