If you love visiting a new city and being dazzled by its local tourist attractions, this blog post is for you. Every square foot of space has been designed at this tourist attraction to make your visit as unforgettable as possible. The more bizarre the locale, the more it impresses guests — and all for free. You’ll return home with an experience that’s sure to be a highlight of your next vacation:

Top 10 The Most Over-the-top Tourist Attractions In Every Us State:

1. Lincoln Memorial – Washington DC:

The world’s largest sculpture in honor of a man who never even lived or was buried on U.S. soil. The memorial commemorates a President who opposed slavery and the Civil War from its inception to his assassination and was instrumental in the passage of the Thirteenth Amendment to abolish slavery in 1865.

2. Iguazu Falls – Argentina:

A vision of thundering water, tropical plants, vast beaches, and lush forests. This place is known as the “world’s largest waterfall” because it drops more than 220 feet (67m) straight down into a river that passes through two countries, Argentina and Brazil. Be warned: don’t look up when standing below this natural wonder — you’ll wind up with vertigo! Apart from this, you can also check the great prison of Alcatraz  island by taking Alcatraz Tour if you want a new and unique adventure. It is one of the attractive tourist attractions.

3. Machu Picchu – Peru:

A truly special landmark built by ancient Incas in the Andes Mountains in Peru. When you first catch sight of its majestic buildings carved into the rock face of a mountain, it seems impossible that they could have been built without modern machinery. The breathtaking views are enough to keep you staring.

4. Yellowstone National Park – Wyoming:

Explore one of the world’s largest volcanic calderas — an enormous crater formed by the collapse of a volcano after an eruption. It contains hundreds of geysers and hot springs that gush forth at 170 jets per minute. It is one the most beautiful tourist attractions.

5. Carnival Cruise Line – Florida:

The cost of a Carnival cruise may seem expensive at first glance, but it’s the only way to visit the most unusual tourist attraction in Florida: Disney World. It’s a one-stop vacation spot where you can enjoy all your favorite Disney characters at their theme park. The rides are designed for families with children and teenagers, and adults.

6. Stonehenge – England:

These mysterious stone monoliths were constructed in an alignment that marks the midsummer sunrise and midwinter sunset — alignments that have remained constant since they were built. When the weather is clear, and the skies are dark, you can only see these enormous stones at dawn and dusk each year.

Stonehenge was called Stone Age Man’s idea of perfection because he created it without machines like drills, saws, or hammers. It’s a sacred site because it contains the mysterious remains of a prehistoric burial mound.

It’s not hard to see why tourists flock to this place, even though its exact origins are unknown. The massive stones fit together and are placed on a perfect field. Even though they stand on an enormous field of over 80 acres, the stones still form a square pattern — indicating some religious significance.

7. Lincoln Memorial – Washington DC:

Its seven statues include three of Martin Luther King Jr., Abraham Lincoln, and Teddy Roosevelt; two Confederate generals; and one that honors the memory of George Washington and his presidency. This is one of the most beautiful tourist attractions you could ever visit.

It has no equal in the world. The museum’s architect was Edward Clark Potter, and a groundbreaking ceremony occurred in 1922. You can visit the memorial for free, but there are a few “enhancements” you need to see. First and foremost is the Reflecting Pool, sunken in the middle of the visitors’ area, surrounded by trees, and filled with reflecting water designs.

The Lincoln Memorial is located on 14th Street, Northwest, Washington D.C., U.S.: It was built on a piece of land owned by Andrew Carnegie to pay tribute to Abraham Lincoln, whose Statue stands at its center. It also has a cascading waterfall and large stone relief panels of famous speeches and events in Lincoln’s life.

And if you’re wondering, the best time of day to visit is at night, when the monument is completely illuminated. This is where you get goosebumps just thinking about looking at it — and it’s even better when seen up close!

The Best Time To Visit: Check their website for hours.

8. Washington Monument – Washington DC:

The most popular tourist attraction on the National Mall, built in honor of George Washington, is a tribute to America itself. It’s the tallest memorial in Washington D.C. and is located on the National Mall near two other large monuments, the Lincoln Memorial and Jefferson Memorial.

It was built to honor the first president of the United States and to commemorate his inauguration in 1789. The groundbreaking ceremony occurred on February 21, 1848, and construction was completed exactly 56 years later, in 1884. There was a problem with funds that pushed it back nine years over its scheduled completion date because it wasn’t finished until 1886.

The interior is open to visitors who can ride an elevator up to the top for three dollars per person or seven dollars for a family ticket. It’s also open daily from 8:30am to 5:30pm, except for Thanksgiving and Christmas. You can also visit the Washington Monument for free during certain hours of the day, but it is not recommended; it is too crowded when the monument opens.

The Best Time To Visit: General admission tickets are sold at 210 West 40th Street, New York, NY 10018; visitors must purchase a ticket in advance.

9. The Statue of Liberty – New York City:

It was built when America fought for its freedom from England and France. The Statue became widely known after an event called “Liberty Celebration,” which included speeches by many famous Americans praising liberty and freedom.

This is the official symbol of New York City. Several statues of Liberty in America serve this purpose, but this one was built for New York City. It’s 45 feet tall, made of copper, and weighs 875 tons. It marked the beginning of Ellis Island and was one of the first artworks commissioned by the Federal government to grace a public building.

There is something majestic about looking up into this Statue — the flame represents a woman standing tall on top of a rock to defend her children from tyranny and oppression. The figure’s staff represents her guiding light leading humanity on its journey through life with liberty and freedom for all people.

It’s an impressive piece of artwork. It has a riveted steel skeleton, and the exterior is hand-tooled by American citizens who were all trying to put down their own personal marks on the Statue. It was also designed to ensure every visitor could see a different part of it, and they accomplished this feat!

The sculpture is hollow, which means it can be entered by using a funicular elevator or climbing a 334-step spiral staircase. You can actually go up inside the torch! It’s $3 to take either of these routes up. It’s open from 9:00am to 5:00pm except for December 25 and January 1.

The Best Time To Visit: Hours vary by season.

10. Lady Liberty Observation Deck – New York City:

The largest observation deck in the city! It has huge glass windows that let you see the inner workings of the Statue of Liberty without earning any kind of entry fee. It also has a bar and a gift shop to complete your trip.

The monument was built with an observation deck because it was designed that way. It’s one thing to be able to walk up into the Statue, but it’s even better if you can get an unobstructed view from the very top of it! The Statue symbolizes freedom and liberty, so it makes sense to build her with an observation deck built right into her.

This tower is 262 feet high, making it one of the tallest buildings in New York City. It was built in less than three years by English immigrant Ellis Stokes. He was very busy — he faced many financial setbacks during his lifetime but managed to work through them.

The observation deck was completed in time for the Statue’s centennial, becoming an immediate hit with visitors. It was officially opened on October 28, 1924, and has been open ever since. The first elevator ride cost 25 cents, and the second one was fifty cents. There were two observation decks at the time — one on top of the other, but they closed both to make way for a new glass floor observation deck that opened in July 2010.

This observation deck is open daily from 8:00am to 10:00pm except for December 25 and January 1. Free museum passes are available for those with tickets that allow you to use the base of the observation deck. You can also consider Grand Canyon Tour if you need to take a leave from your busy schedule.

The Best Time To Visit: The building is open from 8am to 10pm, except on Christmas and New Year’s Day. But the Glass Floor is open all year. There are also small fees to pay when you go up on the Glass Floor (15¢) and 5¢ per person for using the elevator.
