JEE Advanced is an entrance examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) for admission into undergraduate engineering programs offered by the IITs. Only candidates who have cleared the JEE Mains exam are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. The exam consists of two papers, each containing multiple-choice and numerical answer type questions. It is considered one of the toughest exams in India and tests a student's knowledge in mathematics, physics, and chemistry. Admissions into the IITs are highly competitive and successful candidates are admitted into some of the most prestigious engineering programs in India.
