XAT Exam result 2024 released on 19th Jan, 2024

XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by XLRI (Xavier School of Management) on behalf of the Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI) for admission to various management programs offered by member institutes.

In the context of XAT, the XAT score and percentile represent different aspects of a candidate's performance:

XAT Score: This refers to the raw score obtained by a candidate in the XAT exam. The XAT exam typically consists of sections testing quantitative ability, English language & logical reasoning, decision-making, and general knowledge. Each correct answer contributes to the candidate's total score, while there may be negative marking for incorrect answers.

Percentile: The percentile indicates the relative performance of a candidate compared to other test-takers. It represents the percentage of candidates who scored lower than the candidate in the examination. For example, if a candidate has a percentile of 90, it means that they performed better than 90% of the candidates who took the exam.

The XAT percentile is calculated based on the candidate's score relative to the scores of all other candidates who appeared for the exam in the same session. It's important to note that the percentile is a standardized measure that helps in comparing performances across different test-takers and different editions of the exam.
