LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) remains a crucial energy source for millions of households and businesses across Pakistan. With frequent fluctuations in the LPG gas price in Pakistan, consumers are always on the lookout for the latest updates to manage their expenses effectively. This article provides an in-depth look at today’s LPG rates in Pakistan, the factors influencing price changes, and their impact on consumers.

LPG Gas Price in Pakistan (Updated Today)

The official lpg gas price in pakistan, as set by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), stands at Rs. 253.97 per kilogram. This pricing translates to Rs. 3,000 for a standard 11.8 kg domestic cylinder and Rs. 11,600 for a 45.4 kg commercial cylinder. The latest rates are as follows:

Per Kilogram Price: Rs. 253.97
11.8 Kg Domestic Cylinder: Rs. 2,996.88
45.4 Kg Commercial Cylinder: Rs. 11,530.37

However, due to market supply, distribution costs, and dealer commissions, the actual price in different cities may vary. Reports suggest that LPG is being sold between Rs. 310 to Rs. 330 per kg in various regions, significantly higher than the OGRA-notified rate.

Despite these official rates, market dynamics often lead to higher prices in various regions. Reports indicate that LPG is being sold between Rs. 310 to Rs. 330 per kilogram in certain areas. Consequently, consumers may find themselves paying approximately Rs. 3,600 to Rs. 3,900 for a domestic cylinder and Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 15,000 for a commercial cylinder.

The recent price adjustment by OGRA, effective from February 1, 2025, reflects an increase of Rs. 3.68 per kilogram compared to the previous month. This change is attributed to a 1.6% rise in the Saudi Aramco Contract Price (CP) and a 0.19% uptick in the average US dollar exchange rate. These factors collectively influence the landed cost of LPG in Pakistan, leading to the revised consumer prices.

LPG serves as a vital energy source in Pakistan, extensively used for domestic cooking and heating, especially in areas lacking natural gas infrastructure. The price fluctuations of LPG directly impact household budgets and the operational costs of businesses relying on this fuel. Consumers are advised to stay informed about the official OGRA rates and report any significant discrepancies in market prices to the relevant authorities to ensure fair trading practices.
