I’ve had a book idea floating around for years, and I’m finally ready to act on it. The only problem is—I don’t really know where to begin. How do you take a simple idea and turn it into a full manuscript?
Do most people start by outlining the whole book first? Or is it better to just write and see where the story takes you? I’m also thinking ahead—if I want to publish my book later, should I already be planning for editing, formatting, or cover design?
There are so many book publishing services out there, and I’ve come across several book publishing companies that work with new authors. One that stood out to me was American Book Authors—they offer support from writing and ghostwriting all the way through to publishing and marketing. Has anyone here worked with them?
I’m still debating whether I should try to write solo or bring in help like a ghostwriter or writing coach.
If you’ve used book publishers for new authors, did they help you from the early writing stages or only after the draft was finished?
