Sure, some internet service providers (or I.S.P.s) — like Comcast and AT&T — allow you to keep your email address when you leave, but others — like Spectrum — will disconnect your email service as soon as you jump ship.
If you’re a Spectrum Internet customer and you want a Spectrum email account, you can request it using your Spectrum online account. Once you’ve set up your master email account, you can add up to five email addresses.
If you don’t already have one, you’ll need to create a username for your online account.
To create your master email account:
- In the Internet section, select Create Email Address.
- Enter a username and password for your email account. Your username becomes the first part of your email address.
- Select Finish.
Once you’ve created your email address, you can check your email directly by going to webmail.spectrum.net and entering your email address and password.
