It's hard for me to find a document scanner that works the way I can understand!

 

- The built-in seems to fire automatically, and I can't find a way to set it to manual mode

- - Tried CamScanner, a Tiny scanner and a Simple scanner, but they seem to save PDFs in a strange place and there is no place in the settings to set the save location.

 

I want to be able to set the save location to something REASONABLE, like

SD card / MyPDFs

 

What do you guys recommend?

There are actually many good applications for this, but my favorite is scanner pdf. I always use this app to quickly scan my documents, it works great and is easy to use. It is similar to a pocket scanning machine, and also turns any image into text in a matter of seconds using the text recognition function.

The best app for document scanner-

  1. Adobe Scan. Adobe Scan is the best scanner app for Android. 
  2. Google Drive. At first, I was surprised to know that the Google Drive app for Android has an inbuilt option to scan documents. 
  3. Clear Scan. Clear Scan for Android quickly scans any documents or images from your phone. 
  4. Office Lens. 
  5. vFlat.

Steps to scan document by using scanner App -

  1. To scan a paper document to PDF using Acrobat, go to Tools > Create PDF. The Create a PDF from any format interface is displayed.
  2. Choose Scanner to see the options available.
  3. Create PDFs from Scanner interface; clicking the settings or gear icon shows all the settings for the selected option.
