Golf Cart Batteries: Who Installs Them and How to Replace Them

Golf cart batteries are an essential part of the golfing experience, making it possible to get around the course without having to walk. That’s why it’s important to take good care of them. Golf cart batteries need to be properly cared for from the moment they are purchased and installed until they finally can no longer hold a charge and need to be replaced. If you’re wondering who installs golf cart batteries and how to replace them, keep reading this article!

1. Consider what type of battery you need, either lead acid or lithium ion.

2. Take your old battery with you when shopping for a new one in order to compare dimensions and weights (you will want the lightest weight possible).

3. Check the terminals of your old battery for corrosion, leakage, cracks, and other damage- it’s best if they are clean before installing a new one!

4. Get some distilled water, baking soda, and a plastic funnel for the installation process.

5. Make sure that the surface on which you place your battery is level so that your posts line up properly with the holes on top of the battery box.

6. The first step is to cover both poles with baking soda then fill each post hole with distilled water.

7. Next, connect the negative terminal first by sliding it into the left side of the post hole until it clicks into place- make sure that it is securely connected!

8. Now connect the positive terminal by following steps 6-7 but inserting this one into the right side of its post hole instead.

9. Turn your battery upside down so that you can now remove any excess water from inside and below the battery case.
