A fraction can be a portion or section of any quantity out of a whole.

 

Let's convert 0.6 as a fraction.

Explanation:

To convert 0.6 into a fraction, we have to write it in p/q form, where p and q are positive integers.

We have to remove the decimal from the numerator and count how many numbers are thereafter decimal for example in this case there is one so we have to put one zero in the denominator after converting 0.6 in a fraction that is 0.6/1

 

Hence, 0.6 = 6/10

By the use of cancellation, 6/10 = 3/5

 

Hence, 0.6 can be written as 3/5 in fractional form.
