Tenerife is the largest of the islands of the Canary Archipelago. And the most touristic. Located in the Atlantic Ocean off the west coast of Africa, the island has become one of the favorite destinations for travelers from all over the world at any time of the year. Black beaches, palm trees and cuisine help you remember your vacation for a long time. Renting a sailing yacht will give you the opportunity to visit all the cleanest beaches, anchor in the most picturesque bays, and watch the sunset over a glass of Spanish wine.
You can start a cruise in one of the ports of Tenerife. The largest of them is located in the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife - on the east coast of the island. Here you can start a charter of a vessel: a sailing yacht, a motor yacht, a catamaran, a speedboat or a motor boat, and go on a cruise to the south of the island.
Here, be sure to take a walk around the city - the capital of Tenerife - and relax on the beach with yellow or black sand. However, the main beaches - Playa Arena and San Juan - are to the south. They will both be an excellent destination for a sea trip, and are suitable for both relaxing and active recreation.
Not far from them is the largest water park on the island of Siam-Park. Nearby is the second largest port of the island, Port de los Cristianos, where you can leave the ship for a few hours to visit the park.
In the west of the island there is one of the main attractions of Tenerife - the Teide Nature Park, where the dormant volcano of the same name is located. You can get there either on foot or by car. There are also many oddly shaped volcanic formations in the park. The most famous of them is the Finger of God, which is also considered one of the symbols of Spain.
Climate and weather conditions
Tenerife has a mild warm climate: the air temperature drops to 19 degrees in winter and rises to 28 degrees in summer. The water temperature also varies from 20 to 30 degrees at different times of the year. Winter is also characterized by frequent storms, so when planning a rental for the winter months, familiarize yourself with the navigation routes, check the weather forecast and, if you do not have much experience in navigation, use the services of a captain.
