I’ve heard about frequency separation in editing. How does it work, and why is it essential for flawless, natural-looking portraits?

Frequency separation is a photo editing technique that separates an image into two layers: one for  real estate video editing services texture (high frequency) and the other for color and tone (low frequency). In portrait retouching, this allows editors to smooth skin without losing detail, like pores, while adjusting colors and tones separately. The result is a more natural, refined look, preserving facial features and creating a flawless yet realistic appearance.
